On Tuesday 15th January 2019, parents joined their children in school to share the experience of a reading lesson. The whole school participated in the event which focused on a range of literature and activities to promote a love of reading and develop the children’s knowledge and skills. Parents were able to gain a greater understanding of how their children learn to read and appreciate different genres of text, and were provided with strategies which they can use when supporting their child at home.
