Townlands Uniform

Townlands has a duty to ensure that our school uniform is affordable, and in line with statutory guidance from the Department for Education (DfE) on the cost of school uniform. We understand that items with distinctive characteristics (such as branded items, or items that need to have a school logo or a unique fabric/colour/design) cannot be purchased from a wide range of retailers and that requiring many such items limits parents/carers’ ability to ‘shop around’ for a low price. 

Where to Purchase School Uniform

However, much of our uniform can be purchased more widely, e.g. from ‘high-street’ retailers.

Pre-loved Uniform 

Our aim is to give our families the opportunity to access school uniform items through donations, ensuring good-quality clothing can be reused rather than discarded. This not only supports our community but also helps protect the environment by offering an eco‑friendly way to pass on uniform that is still in excellent condition, reducing waste and our overall carbon footprint.

All funds raised from the Pre‑Loved Uniform donations will go directly towards enhancing the curriculum experiences we are able to offer the children.

Uniform Donations

To help this service to be successful, we will gratefully receive donations of items of uniform which are in good condition, including book bags, P.E. kit, lightweight coats and warm coats.  All donations can be handed to the school office.
