Remembrance Day

After holding our own Remembrance Service in school the School Council represented Townlands at the Cenotaph in Earl Shilton.  Following the service, the school was invited to the opening of the restored Toon Memorial clock on Wood Street.  The unveiling was attended by Dr. Luke Evans, who gave a presentation speech and paid tribute to Tommy Brown from Earl Shilton who was awarded the George Medal for his bravery.  Along with the Deputy Mayor of Hinckley & Bosworth, Councillor Richard Flemming and his wife Jill Flemming.
