Child Led Worship

Child-Led Worship

Child-led worship in our school is an opportunity for pupils to take an active role in shaping our collective worship. They plan and lead sessions that include prayers, readings, and reflections, encouraging their peers to engage in a way that feels relevant and meaningful. This approach helps children develop confidence, responsibility, and a deeper understanding of faith, while ensuring worship remains inclusive and reflective of our school community.

Year 4

Year 4, thoughtfully planned and delivered an inspiring child-led worship based on the Bible story, The Prodigal Son. Through engaging drama, they brought the story to life, demonstrating remarkable confidence in their presentation. Their reflections highlighted how our school’s Christian values connect with the powerful message of the story. They recognized forgiveness, hope, and faith as key themes, emphasising the importance of showing grace, believing in renewal, and trusting in God’s love.

Year 6

Year 6 led a child-led Collective Worship for the whole school. During this time, they reflected on how we can make use of our Reflection Area throughout the day. This space provides a calm and peaceful environment where everyone in our school community can pause to think, reflect, pray, or spend time with others.

Faith Ambassadors

Our Key Stage 2 Faith Ambassadors led their classes in Collective Worship. They shared the story of Moses leading God’s people out of Egypt and away from Pharaoh. This was presented in an interactive way, with teachers stepping into the role of Pharaoh and children guiding their peers on a symbolic walk towards the Red Sea.
