Pupil Premium is additional funding given to schools and academies to raise the attainment of children from families on lower incomes and close the gaps between them and their peers. Funding is based on the number of pupils who qualified for free school meals at any point in the last 6 years. The money is used to promote the educational well-being and outcomes of eligible pupils.
