Anne Hawksley

I have been teaching at Townlands since 2008 and my previous teaching experience has been in both Key Stage One and Key Stage Two. I currently hold the position of Deputy Headteacher.

Some of my whole school responsibilities include Lower Key Stage 2 phase leader, collective worship and SIAMs lead, curriculum lead, safeguarding, performance management, monitoring and evaluation of the quality of teaching and learning, school Induction lead for ECF and ECT Mentor, tutoring (NTP), gathering stakeholder voice. Until recently I was responsible for leading English across the school.

Prior to teaching, I worked in Higher Education and gained a number of business-related professional qualifications.

In my current position, I have supported teachers in leading their curriculum areas, alongside supporting many trainee teachers and those early on in their careers. I have successfully completed a number of leadership courses including Leadership Pathways, National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL) and my National Professional Qualification in Headship (NPQH). I have also been involved in the Leicestershire Outstanding Teacher Network group.
