Diane Tingay

I am a retired nurse and midwife and worked for 40yrs in Leicestershire in both hospital and the community. For six years prior to retiring I was the Specialist Midwife for Safeguarding for Leicestershire.

I am a Christian and worship at St Simon and St Jude’s in Earl Shilton and St Mary’s in Elmesthorpe where I am an active member of both churches.

I enjoy spending time with friends and my God children. I also enjoy reading, knitting and cross stitch.

I strongly believe that all children have the right to a good education in a safe and caring environment regardless of their background which is why I am pleased to be a Governor at Townlands School.
