Louise Martinson

I began my teaching career in 1994 and have been teaching at Townlands for several years.  During this time I have been promoted to a senior leader and I am also phase leader for Key Stage one. For the past three years I have been a Key Stage one moderator for the local authority.

Until recently I was responsible for the PSHE curriculum and whilst coordinating this subject I achieved the Diana award for anti-bullying (the route to resilience for character and well-being) three times. I renewed our Healthy Schools award twice and made sure that we became enhanced in health and well-being and also healthy weight. I have led the school in achieving the Food For Life bronze award.

I have recently taken on the role of RE coordinator and also mentored two Newly Qualified Teachers and supported trainee teachers.

Along with my degree I also have an MA in Education and my National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH).
