E-Safety

The Internet is an increasingly important element in 21st century life for education, business and social interaction. The school has a duty to provide children with high-quality Internet access as part of their learning experience. Internet use is a part of the statutory curriculum and a necessary learning tool for staff and children. The school Internet access will be designed expressly for children's use and will include filtering appropriate to the age of our children.

Clear boundaries will be set for the appropriate use of the Internet and digital communications and discussed with staff and children.

Children will be educated in the effective use of the Internet in research, including the skills of knowledge location, retrieval and evaluation. This will be achieved via a series of ICT lessons and through regular assemblies using the latest CEOP (Child Exploitation and Online Protection) materials.

Our aim is to ensure that each and every child knows how to be a good, safe digital citizen.  We want all our children to embrace mobile devices and have fun discovering everything the Internet has to offer – safely.
