School admissions applications for September 2026 are now open. Please make sure you apply on time to give your child the best chance of getting a place at one of your preferred schools.

Things you need to know:

 

Secondary School applications

• Apply by 31^st October 2025 if your child is moving up to a secondary school;
• Apply online using the parent portal (you’ll need to create an account if it’s your first time);
• We advise applying for up to 5 school preferences, including your catchment school where applicable;
• Remember - naming one school does not increase your child’s likelihood of success. If we cannot secure your single preference, your child is likely to be allocated a school some distance away;
• Check the order of preferences carefully before submitting your application;
• If you make changes later, always RESUBMIT your form;
• Arrange to visit on open days, check school websites, and think about how your child would get to school each day.

Primary and Infant to Junior School applications

• Apply by 15^th January 2025 if your child is starting school for the first time or transferring from an Infant to a Junior School;
• Applications are also made online through the Parent Portal;
• We advise applying for up to 5 school preferences, including your catchment school where applicable;

Key Dates for your Diary

• 31^st October 2025 – Secondary application deadline.
• 15^th January 2026 – Primary application deadline.
• 1^st March 2026* – Secondary National Offer Day.
• 16^th April 2026*– Primary National Offer Day.

*or next working day if the date lands on a bank holiday.

 

Applying on time and including your catchment school where applicable gives your child the very best chance of a successful school place.
